CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Bucknell duo of sophomore Jacquie Klotz and freshman Kaitlyn Slagus were named the second week’s Lids Team Sports Patriot League Women’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week, after the Bison posted two wins this week to improve to 3-1 on the season. Bucknell posted a 76-46 home victory over Binghamton on Wednesday and then a 61-56 road win over Manhattan on Saturday.

LIDS TEAM SPORTS PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
JACQUIE KLOTZ, BUCKNELL
 So., 6-0, G, West Windsor, N.J.
The Bison (3-1) are off to their best start since the 2008-09 season thanks in large part to Klotz, who combined for 52 points against Binghamton and Manhattan. Against the Bearcats, the sophomore posted a double-double of 19 points and 16 boards. Three days later, she recorded 33 points and 19 rebounds in the victory over the Jaspers and became the first Bucknell player to score at least 30 points in a game since
Trisha Krewson tallied 30 against Lycoming in 2009. Klotz has now posted a double-double in three-straight games.

LIDS TEAM SPORTS PATRIOT LEAGIE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KAITLYN SLAGUS, BUCKNELL
 Fr., 6-2, F, Belle Vernon, Pa.
Slagus recorded a career-high 11 points in Bucknell’s 76-46 win over Binghamton on Wednesday, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 at the line. She made six of her seven free throws this week and posted a steal in each of the Bison’s wins over the Bearcats and Manhattan. The freshman also combined for three rebounds and three turnovers.

HONORABLE MENTION

KELSEY MINATO, ARMY WEST POINT Sr., 5-8, G, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Minato totaled 46 points for Army West Point, scoring a game-high 23 in both the 81-52 win versus Central Connecticut and 72-61 loss to No. 9/14 Duke. She has now a League-leading double-digit scoring streak of 84 games.

LEXI MARTINS, LEHIGH, Jr., 6-0, F, Irvington, N.Y.
Martins set a new Patriot League and Lehigh single-game rebounding record when she totaled 23 boards on Thursday night at NJIT and is now leads all DI women’s basketball programs, averaging 19 rebounds per game. She also totaled 19 points in the 75-47 win over the Highlanders.

MADISON HOVREN, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., 5-11, F, Spokane, Wash.
After winning the first Rookie of the Week honor, Hovren continued to play a factor in Army West Point’s success, netting a career-best 11 points in the 81-52 win over Central Connecticut. She was also 7-for-8 at the line.

ANGELA RIBARICH, LAFAYETTE Fr., 6-5, C, Toronto, Ontario
Ribarich saw time against all three of Lafayette’s opponents last week, posting the second-most blocks in a single game so far this season for a Patriot League player at Penn with five. It was also the most recorded by a freshman Leopard since February of 2012. Ribarich also came off the bench against Duquesne and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the line.
